Kentucky band "Ole 60" made a stop in Sayreville, NJ and put their stamp on the East coast. Playing to an absolutely packed Starland Ballroom, the country rock band received quite the welcome in Jersey on May 8th.

Opening with their song "Dust 2 Dust," the band played a 15 song set that was raw, gritty, and for a country band pretty damn rock n roll with band members lighting up and smoking cigarettes onstage while playing. The crowd was locked in the entire show, making the audience feel like 7th member of the group.

The band premiered their new single "Nancy Avenue," and played all the fan favorites including " Next to You," " Thoughts of You," and worked in some impressive covers of Coldplays "Yellow," and Pink Floyds "Wish You Were Here." Their most popular hit "Smoke & a Light" closed out the night with opening band Fox n Vead returing to the stage. With beer flying through the air, smoke filling the stage, and an overall party taking place with all the band members letting lose, it was the perfect chaos filled ending to the show.

Ole 60 is a perfect blend of country roots and rock n roll grunge. Their rising star power is clear with comanding stage presence and strong, authentic performances. The band is a fresh unique mix that stands out amongst many of the rising artists in the scene today and without a doubt are only going to get bigger and bigger. A definate must see for fans of bands that oush the country grunge blend.
